Jannes Maes - President of the European Council of Young Farmers

Jannes Maes was born in 1991 and grew up on a farm (dairy cattle and arable crops) in Aalter, Belgium. He has been passionate about farming and horticulture since childhood and holds a degree in agriculture. Jannes is currently President of CEJA, the European Council of Young Farmers. Prior to that he served as a CEJA Vice President and as international representative for Groene Kring, the Flemish young farmers’ organisation. When not engaged in politics and representation, Jannes can be found working alongside his father and brother on the family farm.
